As founder and financial advisor of Hartman Financial, Betsy provides individuals with a range of specialized, comprehensive financial guidance for investment, retirement, and estate planning, as well as other wealth management needs. She started Hartman Financial in 2002 with the goal of offering a local, independently owned alternative to large, traditional brokerage firms.
Betsy earned her BA from Towson University. After graduation, she spent more than 20 years in the banking industry. It was there she realized that management wasn’t her true passion, and truly wanted to work with clients face to face. That’s when she launched Hartman Financial.

Betsy and her husband, Michael, live in Fallston, Maryland. They have two adult children who also live in Maryland, and two dogs that keep them busy. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and reading murder mysteries.
